“Get away to nature - forest, lake, and fresh air!”
10,000 visitors annually
Nestled in a peaceful forest, scenic Lac Simon combines the natural beauty of the nearby Laurentian Mountains and Ottawa Valley. With its 80-kilometer circumference and clear depth of 100 meters, the lake offers many options for holiday-goers and ecotourism enthusiasts alike. The shores of the lake funnel into Lake Barrière to the south, where the waters feed into the picturesque Petite-Nation River.
Conserving the environment and water quality of Lac Simon is a major priority of the municipal council. Among the many charms of the area are the colourful history of local Amerindians of times past, the large Canard-Blanc (White duck) Island, on which is to be found a sparkling lake, Lac des Étoiles (Lake of Stars), where you will rediscover your inner child.
This is your invitation to come and say hello, where visitors always receive a warm welcome. Your stay is sure to be unforgettable, whether at a country inn, a cottage, or a tourist home, available year-round. For lovers of the open air, several family campgrounds offering a range of services are ready to welcome you.
